The sector, which largely succeeded in limiting commercial losses, recorded $76.8 million in imports and $103.4 million in exports in the first nine months. During the same period, the ratio of exports to imports was recorded at 135%. The Turkish woodworking machinery sector, which exported over $1 million to 36 different countries, recorded a foreign trade surplus of $26.5 million.

The event, scheduled to take place from October 11-15, 2025, at the Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, will bring together over 300 brands showcasing their latest products and technologies to industry professionals. WoodTech will once again serve as the hub not only for trade but also for innovation, global collaborations, and sectoral vision.
The countdown has begun for WoodTech Fair, one of the most comprehensive gatherings in the woodworking machinery sector in Eurasia. Arif Onur Kaçak, the Board Member and Secretary General of AIMSAD, stated in his assessment of the fair, which will be held between October 11–15, 2025, that the fair offers important opportunities for companies in terms of both product promotion and establishing new business connections.

Although tight monetary policies, shrinking export markets, and deepening economic problems continued on a global scale and had an impact on the global woodworking machinery sector in the first half of 2025, Turkish machine manufacturers did not pause their export-oriented efforts. The Turkish woodworking machinery sector, which exported $68.4 million in the first half of the year, continued its tradition of generating a trade surplus.
